Mokum Mail is the ideal mail program for people like me that want to make scripts. MM is an E-mail checker, an HTML mailing program and a WEB Browser in one!

What is Mokum Mail v5.0?

MM is an E-mail checker, an HTML mailing program and a WEB Browser in one!

MM gives you the ability to first download only the message headers (unlike other e-mail programs). From here you can easily delete the SPAM.

BUT.. you can also send a 'Quick Reply' without even downloading the message to your hard disk! This is great for quick notes you receive that are just reminders: "Honey...Don't forget to buy the cat litter!" Click on the 'Reply' button, type "Yes Dear...I already bought it!", click 'Send' and delete the message from the server...

MM warns you of "possible" dangerous attachments spread through E-Mail. Although NOT a virus scanner, you will be warned if a message contains an attachment with a questionable file extension. Think of it as an early warning system. These messages can then be deleted BEFORE you download to your computer.

MM has a "Watch" feature, which, when set, allows you to be notified when a specific message arrives; Or, set it to notify when ANY new message arrives.

Plain text E-Mails or HTML scripting?
MM handles BOTH with ease, giving you the ability to design your own personal theme stationeries with pictures, music files, tables, moving backgrounds, highlighted text, and much much more!

MM has both an Inbox and an Outbox. This is especially nice for those on dial-up! Delete your spam and questionable messages, then download or retrieve those you want to the Inbox. Once saved, you are given the option to delete them from your server. Unlike other mailers, they are immediately deleted, once saved, which keeps you from having to re-download them again if you lose your connection.

From the Inbox you can view your messages, reply, and send those replies to the Outbox. This can be done while off-line. When ready, you can reconnect and send all replies at once.

Does MM have an address book? And does MM keep track of what you have sent?
The answer to both questions is YES! You can manually add friends to the address book with preset greetings and goodbye lines OR they are entered automatically when you send a reply. These are then sorted by either Name or E-Mail address. MM has a Log file and when that option is checked, all outgoing mail is kept in a .txt file which can easily be viewed.

Would you like to create a stationery with pictures and music and be able to send in such a way that a friend could re-use it in Outlook Express®? Would you like an AOL friend to be able to SEE your creations?
Again...With MM the answer is YES, it is possible! MM will let you design to your hearts content and then turn that creation into a .EML file which others can use in OE...OR turn that creation into a .MHT file which, when attached to a plain message, can be sent to an AOL user. They click on the attached file and will be able to view your creation in all it's glory.

Does MM have a Help file??
YES...MM has a very extensive and user-friendly help section with instructions for downloading the program, explanations for all functions, and a FAQ'S area. Within MM itself, there are tips and pop-ups when moving the mouse cursor over any function. You just have to check the box for "Tool-Tips"!


I USE Mokum Mail and would heartily recommend it for anyone, whether you are a beginner or an advanced computer user. I know I am forgetting features, BUT you will discover them all when you try this fantastic program yourself!!

And why is it called Mokum Mail..?
Mokum is the nickname we lovingly use to describe Amsterdam as it means "the place to be" and we are proud of our city and it's heritage! We hope that to each of you, no matter what part of the world you live, it can mean "the place to be" for ALL your E-Mail needs!

Here is what you get, going from v4.0 to v5.0:
  • MMF Files.
    First click HERE to see the wonderful messages packed in MMF (Mokum Mail File) format. These files are only usable by Mokum Mail, and they are free to all registered users.
  • SSL Secure Connection.
    Mokum Mail now supports GMAIL accounts and other servers that require a secure Log-in.
  • Screen Size.
    In the Preferences the SCREEN SIZE SETTING is enhanced. You can now define the size of the MM window on a wide screen laptop monitor.
  • Photo's
    You can store PHOTO's of your friends in the MM_Photos sub folder and you will see their friendly face when a message arrives or when you write to your friend.
  • Message Forwarding.
    You can FORWARD a message as an attachment but now also as the ORIGINAL message.
  • Message Rules.
    We added a MESSAGE RULES feature that allows you to store downloaded .EML message files automatically to the folder of your choice.
  • Suppressing Ads.
    More rules have been added to SUPPRESS annoying Yahoo and other advertisements as much as possible when you read a message.
  • Extracting Pictures/Music.
    The UNPACK feature, that you already know, has a little brother now. In the Main Window we added the EXTRACT button.
  • WYSIWYG Editor.
    You can type your message or reply in the plain text HTML editor, but you can now also use the WYSIWYG EDITOR to type and "What You See Is What You Get".
  • Full Screen Editor.
    For large scripts you can now change the Editor to FULL SCREEN, which gives you a better view of your HTML code.
  • Table Wizard.
    In the Editor we added a TABLE WIZARD to create stunning Tables in Tables in Tables stationeries with animation and music in no-time.
  • Slide Show Wizard.
    In that same Table wizard you can create a beautiful SLIDE SHOW with no hassle. Just select the pictures and MM writes the code.
  • G-Fonts..
    Also in the Editor you can draw text using G-FONTS (Graphical Fonts).
  • Text High-Lighting.
    Clicking on the ANNOTATE button in the Editor now gives you the choice from 4 background colors.
  • Conversion Feature.
    The CONVERSION button in the Editor calculates temperature, weight and length from metric to English measurements and back. This is handy when you exchange recipes with friends from all over the world!
  • Exporting.
    The EXPORT button gives you five different formats to store your message: .HTM file, TEXT file for code snippet, .MMF file to share with other MM users, .EML file for OE users and .MHT file for AOL users.

Many other small enhancements have been made to the program. Remember that you can always click on the Info or Help button for more information on any of Mokum Mail's exclusive features.

Important: If you have an earlier version of Mokum Mail, install the 30 days Trial Version in a new folder, away from your current version!
